Residents at Southland enjoy a range of activities, developed to meet their needs including exercise programs, social and recreational activities, arts and crafts, shopping trips and other excursions (and of course BINGO!).

Activities
Each month we offer weekly entertainment. The entertainment varies from piano players and vocalists to petting zoo animals on site and themed socials. We average 5 monthly outings including trips to the library, shopping malls and scenic drives. We have our own in-house van driver who is always ready to accommodate our residents.

Religious Services
We offer Catholic Mass Service every Friday hosted by St. Pius. St. Pius is also available for on call services. We also have weekly Worship Celebration and monthly Holy Communion offered by our on-call pastor. Many religious services are offered at Southland accommodating various denominations.

Volunteers
We have a wide variety of volunteers who graciously spend their time and resources at Southland. Southland's on-site preschool plays an important part in our resident's lives. The Rotary Club of Norwalk also plays an active part by bringing a wonderful annual Christmas program to Southland.

Adult Education
Adult education classes hosted by Cerritos College are held every week (Nostalgia with Christine). Norwalk-La Mirada USD also provides 2 classes on Fridays (Topics with Mary and Adventures Travels).

Residents also have access to an on-campus computer lab to receive and write emails, browse the internet and send and receive photos.
